I’ve never hired a party entertainer before! How does this work?
How exciting! We’re honored that you’re considering us as your first party entertainer experience! The best way for us to help you, is for you to let us know a few key details: 1) Party Date, 2) Party Time, 3) Party City, 4) # of children (approximate is okay), 5) Theme, 6) Characters and/or services interested in. This information will allow us to provide you with a few quotes and options based on our availability and what we offer.

What cities do you travel to? Do you charge travel fees?
We cover both Northern and Southern CA, including Orange County, Los Angeles, parts of the Inland Empire, and the San Francisco Bay Area (with a focus on the South and East Bay, San Francisco and surrounding areas). We RARELY charge travel fees; only when our performers are traveling a significant distance based on a special request.

What kind of events do you service?
We specialize in corporate, city, and community events--but we service private parties too! Birthdays, baby showers, holiday events--you name it!

What is the shortest package you offer?
Our shortest package is 1 hour.

What activities/packages do you offer?
Our most popularly booked activities are our Magic Show, Face Painting, and Balloon Twisting, which can be chosen in our Mix-and-Match Package. Our Princesses, Superheroes & Mascot characters have special packages that include 10 themed activities, with the option to add on any of our Mix-and-Match activities.

Do you offer all services in all areas?
We currently do not offer costumed characters in the SF Bay Area--all of our entertainers there are what we call Non-Costumed, and offer our Mix-and-Match Package options. However, we’re working on it and plan to offer our full menu of options on both sides of the state by mid-2025!

What activities/packages are best for each age group?
Our 30-minute magic show is best received by ages 3-9; Princess and Superhero Packages by ages 2-9, and our Mascot Package is great for ages 1-6. Face Painting and Balloon Twisting are beloved by all ages, 1-100 (and beyond)!

Do I have to choose a costumed character?
Nope! You can choose to have a Non-Costumed entertainer perform our Magic Show, Face Painting and/or Balloon Twisting without being in costume or character! This is a great option for when you don’t have a particular theme, or if you want the fun but we don’t have a character that matches your aesthetic.

How many faces can you paint in an hour?
One face painter can typically paint 12-15 faces per hour.

How many balloons can you twist in an hour?
One balloon twister can typically twist 25-30 balloons per hour.

Do you perform in all kinds of weather?
The short answer is yes; however, there are certain restrictions based on character-type. All entertainers are expected to be provided adequate shade from rain or excessive heat. Our costumes and wigs cannot be subjected to rain, mud, or puddles; we kindly ask that if your party is held outdoors that your entertainer is adequately shielded from such. If the weather is projected to be above 90, mascot characters must be provided an indoor space to perform with air conditioning for safety purposes.

Do I need to provide anything?
If you have booked the Magic Show or Face Painting, we ask that you provide a small table (and 2 chairs per face painter). In some cases, your performer may ask if you have a Bluetooth speaker they can connect to. Otherwise, your entertainer will bring everything they need!

What can I expect if I hire a character?
Your character will arrive at your party in full costume, hair and make-up, with all supplies needed for the activities which she/he is booked. To maintain “the magic,” they will remain in full character for the entirety of your event, including while conversing with adults

Can pick and choose a few activities out of your character packages?
If you are seeking a character for Meet & Greet/Photos and general Atmosphere/Ambiance, we can absolutely provide that! However we are unable to alter the 10 themed activities in our character packages outside of this, without compromising the quality of our services.

Can I see who my performer is ahead of time?
Due to constantly changing schedules based on character requests, cities and performer home locations, we cannot guarantee any specific entertainer for your event and therefore do not send photos guaranteeing who you will be booked with. However, we always take requests into consideration whenever possible.

How far in advance should I book?
We book events that are a year out, or a few days out! It all depends on what you’re looking for and what our current availability is. However, we generally recommend booking 4-6 weeks out for the best opportunity of booking what and who you’re requesting.

How long should I book for?
The length you’ll want to book varies greatly based on the number of children you’re expecting and the activities you’ve chosen. For example, the Magic Show is 25-30 minutes in length, whether you’re expecting 10 children or 50. But Face Painting and Balloon Twisting will each take longer for 50 children than it will for 10. Let us know how many kids you’re expecting and what services you’re interested in for us to provide you with the most accurate quote and how long you’ll want to book for

What time should I have the entertainer arrive? Will they come early to set up?
We recommend you schedule your performer to arrive 30-60+ minutes after the start time of your party, to allow for late guests to trickle in. Your entertainer will arrive at your party 5-10 minutes before the start time to greet you and set up.

What if I need to change my party date or time?
After your deposit is paid, we cannot guarantee that we can accommodate any date or time changes. Your deposit is transferable one time for up to one alternate date within a year; party time can be changed for the same date only if we are available during the updated time.

What if I end up with more children than anticipated?
If you have booked Face Painting and/or Balloon Twisting, we will likely need to add additional time in order to ensure everyone still gets a turn. Please note that once your deposit is paid, we cannot guarantee accommodation of added time, as your performer is typically booked for multiple events in a single day. As soon as you know that you’re expecting more children, let us know, and we will do our best to accommodate.

Are there any hidden fees?
Nope! The rate you were quoted includes all taxes, travel fees, and supplies. Absolutely no hidden fees!

How much is the deposit? Is it refundable?
A deposit of $100 per entertainer/character is required to be paid online in order to reserve your date and time. Exceptions are made only for corporate/community gigs where a deposit is not possible.
When we take a deposit, we are reserving your date with a dedicated entertainer who forgoes being booked for other paid opportunities in order to be available for your event. For this reason, all deposits are strictly non-refundable; however, in the case of an emergency, you may transfer your deposit one time to an alternate date, subject to our current availability, within 1 year.

I’ve paid my deposit; what happens now?
Congrats! Your party date has been secured and you are good to go. Your performer will call you 1-2 days before your event date to verbally confirm and go over any last minute requests with you. Until then, you can sit back, relax, and get ready to party!

Do you offer any discounts?
Due to the cost associated with maintaining a high standard of hiring, training, costumes, and supplies, we do not offer discounts.

Who pays for parking?
Please add any cost for required parking at your event to your total balance due on the day of your party.

When/how do I pay my final balance?
If you prefer not to handle payment on the day of your party, you may pay in full by card at the time of booking, or, pay your remaining balance before your event date.
If you opt not to pay in full before your event date, your remaining balance will be due in cash, to your performer, on the day of your party.
Corporate and community events ONLY may pay by check; performers will NOT accept a check for a private party.

Is tipping necessary?
Tips are not required, however, if you were happy with your performer’s services, a tip of $20-$50+ is customary.

Is there anything else I should know?
● Balloons pop, especially on grass! This is normal; balloon twist outdoors nearly every weekend, year round. However, if your party is outdoors, we recommend having a laundry bucket (or similar) available for kids to store their balloons in until it’s time to go home.
● Please let your performer know ahead of time if they will need to allow for extra time to find parking.
● If you have booked a mascot package for more than 1 hour, they will require a 15 minute break at the end of each hour to re-hydrate and stay safe. Please provide a private space where they can take off their “head” and cool down, out of the view of children and adult guests.
